Pattinson is the youngest of three children, born to Robert and Clare Pattinson. While his father worked with cars, his mother was employed at a modeling agency. Despite being shy, Pattinson, who harbored aspirations of becoming a musician from a young age, was encouraged by his father to pursue acting. It was during an inspiring dinner that his father convinced him to join the theater club after sitting among a group of girls returning from the Barnes Theatre Club.

Attending Harrodian in his youth, Pattinson took on lead roles in plays such as “Out Town,” “Tess of the d’Urbervilles,” and “Everything Goes.” Though he didn’t accept his father’s offer of payment, there’s no doubt his encouragement played a significant role in Pattinson’s discovery of his passion for acting.
